For the past few weeks Alicia has been hard at work on a book report about Harriet Tubman (an African American slave who helped slaves escape using the underground railroad). She had to make a time-line with 7 important facts and then make a mini-Harriet (you can see her off to the right hand side of her timeline). Alicia amazed me with her hard work and creativity. It's fun to see her mature and be able to start doing homework assignments more independently.
