Charlotte

Over the weekend the kids and I took our final road trip of the summer. We traveled 7 hours to Charlotte, North Carolina for my cousin, Meagan's, wedding. The kids were able to meet some of the extended family that they hadn't gotten to meet yet. Meagan is my dad's younger sister's daughter. Of course I was employed to do the hair of the bride and her maid of honor (her sister Jill)...and I will say that they looked fabulous! My parents and my sister with her kids also came out for the wedding.  I think it's safe to say we all had a great time and really enjoyed our last trip of the summer. Monday was the first day of school for Tristan and Alicia, and so far things are going well!!

The Bride's Family
(Uncle Rob, Aunt Ingrid, Meagan, Ryan, Jill, David, & Jared)

Jared and Addi quickly became buddies.

The Guenther's
Opa in the middle with his new bride, Germaine, behind him to the right. My dad, Ralph, is in the back left with his twin sister, Evelyn, sitting in front of him (she came all the way from Lethbridge, Alberta), and Ingrid (the younger sister) sitting on the right in front of Germaine.

Addi, Meagan, & Alicia

Addi, Lily, and Meagan playing Ring Around the Rosies. Apparently Meagan worked up quite a sweat in her "princess" dress.

The "Little Girls" eating cake. Instead of calling to both Addi and Lily we have started calling them the "Little Girls." It reminds me of how we used to call Mitch and Wes the "little boys" or the "little gents."

Tristan, Grandma Steele, Alicia, and Addi
Marilyn, or Grandma Steele, is Uncle Rob's mother. She is just amazing with kids and my kids tended to gravitate towards her. They all really enjoyed each other's company. I even found Alicia rubbing her feet after the reception!

Isn't that the most adorable Groom's face you have ever seen???
Ryan is such a nice guy...we were all really impressed with him. Meagan landed quite a catch! Good work, cous!

Tristan and Alicia got a real kick out of helping decorate the newly weds car. They wrapped it up in plastic wrap and stuffed it full of balloons.
