A few weeks ago we joined a bunch of our friends on our annual Halloween bus ride. Our good friends, Tambi and Dever, bought an old school bus a few years back, and it has seriously been the ultimate party bus. Some of our most fun nights have been spent on the bus. The Halloween bus ride is always a really good time with lots of clever costumes. This year we rode the bus out to a small town nearby called Eagleville to eat at a little restaurant out there. Then we rode back to Tambi and Dever's house and chatted and played games. It's the best to see everyone's reactions to everyone else's costumes. This year Dever really took it to a new level.

Remember the show "Home Improvement?"
Daniel was "Wilson" and I was "Heidi the Tool Girl."
Don't you love Daniel's homemade fence?

Here is Dever. I can't tell you who he was...for fear of being struck by lightning. Let's just say that right before we rode out, he got on the speaker and announced that he would only play one song all night while he drove the bus. It was Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take the Wheel."

Holy crow...Shannon and Aaron topped the cake as Popeye and Olive Oil. Aaron had Olive's walk down perfectly and Shannon had Popeye's face...hilarious.

Cassy was a firefly. Do you love the mason jar on her shirt with a line thru it?? HA! She also had tap lights inside little shorts under her skirt so that her bum really did light up! So clever.
Tim and Shobhna
I remember watching Bob Ross paint on tv...Travis and Amber are always so clever with their costumes.
We spent the night trying to decide if Beyonce's baby bump was real or not....

Jason and Rachel as a convict and a member of the SWAT team.
What I love about this party is we don't just dress up...we get into character. We all spend the evening acting like the person we are dressed up as. My favorite part of the evening was after dinner when we were walking back to the bus, Jason all of a sudden starts doing a high-knee convict run away. Rachel wastes no time pulling out her toy guns and shooting at him. Crack me up! Beyonce was also great at staying in character. She had me giggling most of the night. Charlie Sheen was constantly spouting off Charlie Sheen-isms he found on-line. I really do have some of the most fun friends!

The ladies...
The gentlemen...

Jesus take the wheel...oh my goshhhhhhhhhhhhh! hilarious.
Your friends sound out of control!!! So I am totally bummed. The Thanksgiving trip turned into a 10.5 hour drive from here so we aren't coming up to Tennessee, and so that means we can't come by to see you guys :-( I am seriously SO sad about it just because we can't see YOU guys!!! anyways, we'll make a trip maybe next summer! Yall are only 7-8 hrs away. SO easy to do.
