Shortly after Daniel got his motorcycle, we sat the girls down and gave them 3 simple rules about motorcycles:
#1. Don't touch the motorcycle.
#2. Never get on the back of a motorcycle without a helmut.
#3. Never get on the back of anybody's motorcycle unless it is your dad's until you are in college.
Addi could hardly wait for her first ride on the motorcycle. She had to be able to recite all three rules before getting a ride. She had that down in no time. It was really cute listening to her tell our friends the rules. We don't own any youth size helmets, but we have friends who do. Unfortunately, they were away on vacation for a few weeks, so Addi patiently waited until they came home. The first visit over to their house, Addi made sure to get a "red helmet" so she could get her motorcycle ride. It was the cutest thing I think I've ever seen. Daniel just took her around the block, but you'd have thought he took her to the moon.
