Tristan ran his first cross country race with the Williamson County team on Saturday. He was recruited to the county team after winning his first 4 races on the middle school team. He'd been sick on Thursday, so we were nervous that he wouldn't be in top shape for the race. There were also kids from all over the Nashville area, so the competition was more intense than at the school meets. Regardless, Tristan was able to maintain his undefeated status and he won the race. His teammates also came through strong and the Williamson County team took first place.
The Steeplechase course is very hilly and probably the most difficult course he has run so far. Tristan is out front, but another boy remained close on his heels throughout the race.
He definitely inherited his chiseled features from Daniel.
